One of the holy places in West Bengal is the Mayapur. It is located in Nadia district of West Bengal beside the east of Bhagirathi River. It is also a tourist center in West Bengal and the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya. One of the attractions here is the ‘Iskon Temple’. It is situated about 130 kilometers north of Kolkata. The closest railway station in the city is Nabadwip. From Kolkata to Sealadah railway station, Krishnanagar will come to the train, then from there, there will be a bus to take Mayapur.
This is a place where many people come from country and abroad for the sake of Krishna. Here the international organization was created for the promotion of Krishna Consciousness. There is an equal temple of 35 floors of high house, which is the tallest Hindu temple in the world. The free movement of people of any religion is seen here. As a sign of Indian architecture, Mayapur expressed his position. It is seen from the Temple of Iskon that the Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math, the Adwaita Building, the 29 Sree Chaitanya Math and the Shrivas Angan and the Khola Bhangar Vanga. On the opposite side of 29 Churora Math, Punni pukur Shyamkunda, Radhakunda etc. in the same premises.
The administration of this region Moulana Sirajuddin issued fatwas and stopped the chanting of Chaitanya. Sri Chaitanya did namkirtan with his teammates without disobeying that rule. Chand Kaji, who broke the crescendo of Chaitanya, was the Khola breaking vessel. There is a place in Shrivas Angan today.
The work of this temple is going on and it is known that when the work is done it will be the tallest Hindu temple in the world. The location of this temple is 22 acres. This land will have all the housing facilities which will be recognized internationally. There are three domes located away from the temple. The first one is the Exhibition which contains a Planetarium. Then there will be the 18th floor which is for the kirtan. Then there is the peak which is about 35 feet in height. In all, a fascinating tourism center from the people of Bengal, Bangali, non-Bengali, West Bengal, Bin State and everyone from all over the country.

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের পবিত্র স্থানগুলির মধ্যে অন্যতম হল মায়াপুর। এটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নদিয়া জেলায় ভাগীরথী নদীর পূর্বে অবস্থিত। এটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের একটি পর্যটন কেন্দ্র ও মহাপ্রভু শ্রীচৈতন্যর জন্মস্থানও বটে। এখানকার অন্যতম আকর্ষণ এখানকার ইস্কন মন্দির। এখানকার প্রধান উৎসবগুলি হল- চন্দনযাত্রা, জন্মাষ্টমী, ঝুলনযাত্রা, রাধাষ্টমী, দোলযাত্রা, স্নানযাত্রা, রথযাত্রা, শ্রীল প্রভুপাদের ব্যাসপূজা ইত্যাদি।
এটি কলকাতা থেকে প্রায় ১৩০ কিলোমিটার উত্তরে অবস্থিত। মায়াপুরের সবচেয়ে কাছের রেলস্টেশন হল নবদ্বীপ। কলকাতা থেকে শিয়ালদহ রেলওয়ে স্টেশন থেকে ট্রেনে কৃষ্ণনগর আসতে হবে, তারপর সেখান থেকে মায়াপুরগামী বাস ধরে যেতে হবে মায়াপুর। Visit Mayapur Nabadwip (Mayapur Tourism)
এটি এমন একটি স্থান যেখানে কৃষ্ণচেতনার জন্য দেশ-বিদেশ থেকে প্রচুর মানুষের আগমন ঘটে। এখানে কৃষ্ণচেতনা প্রচারের জন্য আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থা নির্মিত করা হয়। এখানকার প্রায় ৩৫ তলা উঁচু বাড়ির সমান ইস্কন মন্দির আছে যা পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে উঁচু হিন্দু মন্দির। যেকোনো ধর্মের মানুষের অবাধ বিচরণ এখানে দেখা যায়। ভারতীয় স্থাপত্যের নিদর্শন হিসেবে মায়াপুর তার অবস্থান প্রকাশ করে। ইস্কন মন্দির থেকে বেরিয়ে দেখা যায় শ্রীচৈতন্য গৌড়ীয় মঠ, এর পর অদ্বৈত ভবন, ২৯ চুড়োর শ্রীচৈতন্য মঠ এবং শ্রীবাস অঙ্গন তথা খোল ভাঙার ডাঙা। ২৯ চুড়োর মঠের উল্টো দিকে পুণ্যিপুকুর শ্যামকুণ্ড, একই চত্বরে রাধাকুণ্ড ইত্যাদি।
এই অঞ্চলের প্রশাসক মৌলানা সিরাজউদ্দিন ফতোয়া জারি করে শ্রীচৈতন্যের নামকীর্তন বন্ধ করে দেন। সেই নিয়ম অমান্য করেই শ্রীচৈতন্য তার দলবল নিয়ে নামকীর্তন বার করেছিলেন। যে ডাঙাতে শ্রীচৈতন্যের খোল ভেঙেছিলেন চাঁদ কাজী সেটাই হল খোল ভাঙার ডাঙা। সেখানেই আজ শ্রীবাস অঙ্গন।
এই মন্দিরের কাজ চলছে এবং জানা যায় যে, কাজ শেষ হলে এটিই হবে পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে উঁচু হিন্দু মন্দির। এই মন্দিরের অবস্থানগত জমির পরিমাণ ২২ একর। এই জমির মধ্যে থাকবে সকল রকম হাউজিং সুবিধা যা আন্তর্জাতিক ভাবে স্বীকৃতি পাবে। এইখানে তিনটি ডোম আছে যেগুলি মন্দির থেকে দূরে অবস্থিত। প্রথমে থাকছে এক্সিবিশন হল যার মধ্যে একটি প্লানেটোরিয়াম থাকছে। তারপর থাকবে কীর্তনের জন্য হল যা ১৮ তলা বিশিষ্ট হবে। তারপর আছে শিখর যা প্রায় ৩৫ তলা উচ্চতা বিশিষ্ট। সব মিলিয়ে মায়াপুর বাঙালি, অবাঙালি, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বাসী, ভিন রাজ্যের মানুষ থেকে শুরু করে সকলের কাছেই একটি আকর্ষণীয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র।
